Subject: NYC Superlevelfest

Hey all,

I'm back - a big shout-out to my UK posse!  It was great seeing you
all!  I will do a full write up for the digest later on since no one
else took the challenge.  Right now I wanted to address something else.

I was talking with a number of the folks who showed up to the Britfest,
and quite a few of them said they would love to come to the states,
specifically NY, for a fest, so I had a thought.  I know the UK has a
bank holiday for May Day, which is May 3rd.  May is a great time of year
to come to NY because it comes before the summer crush of tourists,
usually has a jazz festival going on and it is fairly cheap to fly here
because the high season doesn't start until June.  If we have it that
weekend the Brits would lose minimal vacation, and the weather would be
perfect.  Since I live here, Winston and I could plan it without a real
problem.  We may need to rent a space versus getting one gratis, but
hopefully it wouldn't be a lot of money.  This would not necessarily be
the true ILF '99 per se, but it would be a fun sojourn for the East
Coast, Dutch and Brit members of the digest.  Everybody think about it
and we can discuss it further when we all see each other during the
shows in January.
