Is it crashing on you as soon as it launches?  I had that problem after
Windows 98 crashed on me (as it does about every 2 hours--anyone care to
comment on how Microsoft stays in business???) while ICQ was running.

If this is the case, try running scandisk.  It found something wrong with
my .idx or .dat file or something, it fixed it, and then ICQ ran fine.
