Date: Thu, 19 Oct 2000 13:17:24 -0400 Well, I do realize that i'm probably missing some decent new music, but it's worth it to me, because i dont have to listen to all the crap. I do check out VH1, but only when I know a certain concert is on. I caught PHISH in concert, and will prob check the the concert special tonite with all the female rock stars. But i just dont get into watching promo videos anymore. Yesterday i caught the tail end of some teen flick on my sat dish, and the end credits had what i thought was a cool tune. I then searched Napster for the chrus of the tune. It turns out to be 'Kiss Me' by Sixpence None the richer. For all I know this song could be 5 years old, and I missed it. But, I love it, and have been listening to it ever since. I very rarely listen to the radio, unless I'm in someone else's car or I want to catch the news (although I did hear Kurtis Blow on the radio yesterday which I thought was way cool). MTV is simply the single most annoying channel on the face of the planet, next to the Martha Stewart channel. I do watch VH1 for the behind the music and where are they now shows though. Anyway, I hear what you're saying. I don't hear much of the new music these days either, but on the rare occasions that I do, I'm reminded of why I never hear new music anymore :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- The Level 42 "ILF" mailing list is an electronic bulletin system for news about International Levelfests.
