And guess what? Thats only 2 months away! If you want to come, please, please email Lisa Devlin at lisa @ starchild42.freeserve.co.uk. Check out the BF2K web site http://www.starchild42.freeserve.co.uk/content/britfest.html as Lisa has recently updated it, including the Jam session info and list of attendees (were up to 14 already). BF2K - The story so far... ========================== Okay, we are looking at loads of L42 music, Good food, Real Beer (brewed especially for the pub - Black Bull ABV 4.4%), a Jam Sessh,, dancing, great company, its going to be a blast... If you've never been to one of these things before, trust me its a great party. Basiclly we are going to kick off midday setting up the PA and Sound check and then I guess we'll just go with the flow and party until Midnight.... I have booked Jed Fitzpatrick, The Sound Engineer from last year's BF99. He is doing the PA "big time", 24 channel, Mixing desk, Mikes, Monitors, Cabs, the works all 3.5Kws of it! Hopefully we'll be able to record some of the Jam sessh as well... There will be a CD music system plugged into the PA so well be to listen to my copies of the reissues or any other CD for that matter. Please feel free to bring your rareties along so we can all enjoy. Calling all musicians, The Jam Sessh is open to everyone willing to have a go. We've got it all sorted, the PA, my Roland V-Drums 'n' Percussion, Trace Elliot amplification, Keyboards, Mikes'n'stands, you just need to turn up with your Bass/Guitar/Sticks/Voice/Percussion/keys/plectrum/milk bottles whatever. I'll be coordinating the Jam sessh this year so please copy me on all email to Lisa RE: Jam Sessh (tazmania @ bigwig.net). For those participating in the Jam sessh we'll need a list of songs to play during the day, and hey if you want to do '88', let me know which version so we all practice the right one before hand. The Jam sessh list is on the BritFest website. Hey, If you got any ideas on what you would like at this years Britfest, let us know.... TAFN. Phil (tazmania @ bigwig.net)
