Just from my experience! Also, try to spend all of your GBP 1.00 coins in the UK, as they will not exchange them back in the USA, you'll have to do the coins in the UK, but usually it is not worth it as, again, the service charge is too high!!! Mikey PS: There are some coin machines in the International terminals at airports like Heathrow and Gatwick, that will take loose change from either the US or UK and give you the coinage that you require.
