Worth 1999 Hello again FRIENDS, WOW, already such a GREAT response from people for this fall's fest in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Some questions that I keep getting is: "What is the cheapest way I can do this?" Well, firstly AIRFARE.........American, Southwest, and Delta Airlines have a large presence here in the DFW area. Your best fares will probably be offered by eithere American and Southwest, that is if you fly domestic. A good fare to DFW and/or Dallas Love Field from mainly anywhere in the USA (based on a 21 Day Advance notice) is going to be between US$200.00 to US$300.00, with those cities in adjacent states (i.e. Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana) a bit lower than that. If you are travelling from Europe YOU WILL WANT TO FLY AMERICAN from a 'gateway' city in Euprope as they offer non-stop service to DFW Int'l and fares are very good. Int'l travel needs to buy their ticket with a 90 day advance, and you are looking at a fare of under GBP 275.00, again depending on what European city you are departing. I know that American offers non-stop serice from Frankfurt, Paris, London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Milan, Stockholm and Madrid. Again, to add to what Sean Green posted yesterday, we need to gain a good estimate of those who MAY be coming. I am very happy to see the interest so far and hope that it continues to rise! As far as currency exchange goes: See digest in Jan 1999 for my lectures on how and when to do this. Hotels: You won't really need one here, unless you really want to stay in one, as the room is plenty. If you need a hotel room let me or Sean know and we would be happy to find cost for you! Some airfare packages from Europe will contain a hotel stay, you might want to check to see if the fare that you purchase comes with a room or gives you a discount with a specific chain. "What if I want to stay longer that 3 days if I am travelling from so far away?".........Well, Sean and myself, I am sure, will do all in our power to make sure that your time here in Texas is exciting and full of things to do. And if need be, can reccommend other areas in the USA/Texas to see and do! Well, I hope that helps! Again, feel free to contact Sean Green at sdgreen @ flash.net or myself at mikeyp42 @ hotmail.com Until next time, TCOY! Mikey42 BTW: Got the 4 CD set (THANKS TO YOU KNOW WHO)GREAT STUFF and whoever mastered the disc, GREAT JOB it was perfect.
