I feel much safer on the Path or the subway than in other cities, because the train is always crowded - even at 3AM! Many people work shift work and get off at odd hours, so as long as you use common sense, nothing is going to happen to you. The days in the early 80's of constant subway muggings have pretty much disappeared. I actually don't know a single person who has been mugged, and I've lived in Manhattan for 9 years. You can get a NYC subway map from any subway station in the system, and anyone who is hanging with me doesn't have to worry about getting around. BTW, the World Trade Center excursion will be on Saturday before we go to Newark for the jam session since we have to take the Path train from here anyway, so those of you who were interested in doing it plan for that. Anyone who wants to tool around the city on Sunday and see some random sights [right now there is a kick ass Van Gogh exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is 10 blocks from my house and on Central Park], I will gladly offer myself as the guide for that day. We can discuss this at dinner on Friday. See you guys soon! Winman42 @ aol.com wrote: > Thanks Dan, and not to worry.
