I purchased them at least a couple of weeks ago and think they may have been out for a time even before then. They are on the Edsel Records label and available for a bargain £6.98 each << winston <winman42 @ gmail.com> wrote: >>It's my understanding that these two titles have been available in the UK for a few weeks now. I know a few folks who ordered them as imports. I'll order them next week personally. << They had a discounted price at CD Universe as well. The release date they had listed must have been for the States (or for when CD Universe was going to have them in stock). June 9th (a Tuesday) is the day new stuff gets released here though. Carl & Laurel <muellers @ roadrunner.com> wrote: >>I had read about the re-issues but totally forgotten about it :-) Thanks man! << You're welcome! So how about an update for these two on the website? Not to mention the recently released version of Level 42, THE PURSUIT OF ACCIDENTS, THE EARLY TAPES, the Deluxe WORLD MACHINE, RETROGLIDE LIVE, and all the live albums available on Level42.com? Julian Arnold <jando.linralu @ gmail.com> wrote: >>Can you let me know if these can be obtained on a UK site? << Pete Willis <peteburywillis @ hotmail.com> wrote: >>Yes they are available via Amazon UK although I think they have gone up another £1 since I purchased them << Also HMV.co.uk 7.99 each with free delivery. The two disc RIVER SESSIONS set is there for a ridiculously cheap 4.99. Having received these, I have to say that they're both exceptionally well put together packages. In fact, the only thing I can think of that's missing from GUARANTEED is the interview with Mark (and Mike?) from the 'My Father's Shoes' CD single. Also- obviously- FOREVER NOW would have to have been a 3 CD set to contain all the remixes and radio edits that were released over the 9 CD singles associated with the album. So they picked what they thought were the best. Something else worth mentioning is the fact that they went with the Resurgence tracklisting for FOREVER NOW which I always thought was a jumbled mess. How do you NOT start the album with the title track AND use 'Billy's Gone' in it's stead? FYI, I'm still trying to get an answer from Universal about the remaining four reissues (STANDING IN THE LIGHT, TRUE COLOURS, STANDING IN THE LIGHT, and the deluxe RUNNING IN THE FAMILY. From what I've been told, there will not be a reissue of A PHYSICAL PRESENCE as the one from 2000 is still readily available. Chris L. |
