As I sit here at my computer looking back on the decade since our Funky Bus '99 tour, I marvel at how ahead of our time we were to have such a strong Internet community. I remember that I used to tell my friends and work colleagues that I was flying across the ocean to spend time with people I met over the Internet and they would look at me like I was crazy. Even just the fact that we had an Internet community used to amaze many people around me, much less daring to meet in person. Now, I look at Facebook and see groups that are dedicated to far more obscure topics than our community. I started a Facebook group for alumni of my high school marching band and 40 people immediately signed up without even being invited. Looking at all the random groups people join, it is a wonder. I just love the fact that we were such trailblazers in doing this and appreciate all the friendships - and knowledge of the Internet, singing groups, etc. - that I have gained from my journey with the Level 42 Digest from 1996 until now. I hope to see you all again in my travels - anyone who is in London, I will be there the night of Sunday March 22nd and ready to hang out [taking a train down from Edinburgh and will arrive about 2 or 3 in the afternoon]. If you are in Berlin, I will also be in your city Easter weekend, performing a gospel concert and ready to hang out overall [April 10-13]. Please let me know - especially Berlin. Thanks...
