| Thanks for the link Sean. I always really enjoyed Wally's material. Worth searching out is a cassette only release called CHIEF INSPECTOR which contains five different remixes. In the case of the title track, it's one of the few instances where a remix actually surpasses the original. His official website mentions the possibility of both ECHOES and WORDS OF A MOUNTAIN getting rereleased on CD, as well as a collection of the various 'Chief Inspector' remixes (apparently there were quite a few). I still say that if he had been involved with RETROGLIDE, it would have made what I consider an incredible album into a brilliant album. Currently, I read for that more than any other release. And I like them ALL for different reasons, so it's got nothing to do with being a fan of a particular era and not another. Chris L. | Hey Carl, Yep, I remembered that. :-) I was surprised to find out that they had called it a day, though when I read Steve Lukather's reasons I could relate. They were heading in the right direction with the past couple studio albums (minus that crappy covers album they did back in 2002), and it would have been interesting to hear what was next. It sounds like Lukather is doing some solo gigs which are supposed to feature both material from his releases as well as some Toto music. What especially piqued my interested was him saying "No hits, no ballads". Works for me. Funny (sort of) story: I was supposed to see them back in 2003 and again in 2006, and the same person F'd that up for me both times (though in 2003 it was really his wife's fault). BTW, I still have an e-mail you sent me from- like- a bazillion years ago that I need to respond to. It'll happen...eventually. :-) Chris L.
