| Today is our 10th wedding anniversary! Thanks to everyone that was there to make it such a special day http://www.level42digest.com/archive/1998/252.txt Carl & Laurel Mueller Subject: Re: Vega$ Wedding Fest From: Carl Mueller <cmueller @ inland.net> Date: Tue, 15 Sep 1998 23:09:19 -0700 Hey everybody, Our apologies to those of us who were not at the Vega$ Wedding Fest (read: Carl & Laurel's Wedding ;-]) but it involves enough Level 42 Digesters to warrant a (lengthy) posting. Many, many thanks to all of the Digesters that sent their best wishes to us, and thanks to Winston for compiling them. How many couples can say they get wedding greetings from all around the world? It was beautiful; thank you all. The magnitude of what happened this weekend is still so hard to fathom... Friends from my hometown of Hemet, Laurel's friends from San Luis Obispo, and Portland, 2 high school friends of mine from back when I lived in Holland (who flew in from Holland and Australia respectively) combined with friends and family from Winsconsin & Washington, and, a group of Digesters from New Jersey, North Carolina, Seattle, California, Texas & Nevada..... at a wedding ceremony at the Treasure Island that was standing room only ... We are so damn lucky to know so many people that would come so far to be at our wedding. We'll risk getting a little emotional here but, to quote a great man, WE LOVE YOU ALL. Winston - OK, so maybe it wasn't a complete surprise, but it was still awesome to get all the email best wishes from everybody. Thanks, man. Laurel says sorry for making your pillow smell like a 5 dollar whore, bunny. (still think it's better than pizza ;-]) Liz - Never before have I seen a woman so poised in the face of crappy planning. Not only did you pull your vacation out of the fire, but you saw to it that I had a damn good bachelorette party... Not surprising that you made it to the Geisha House first ;-] Shannon - My local bachelorette coordinator, don't know how to thank you enough. You were undoubtedly the queen of "Roll With It". My God, woman, you could have fun at an insurance seminar (although you should have known better than to leave me and Carl at the Star Trek Experience ;-]) Jennifer - What a wonderful place to meet somebody for the first time, our wedding. What an enormous amount of energy! What do they feed you in Texas? Laurel says if she'd known what you were up to during the reception she would have been right there with you ;-] Bill - whose head got more attention than a bald head should get; even Richard Simmons paid his respects to the mighty dome! I LOVE YOU, man. There is NO WAY that you could NOT have been there, and thanks for bringing along Kev and Danny. No running away when Laurel tries to hook you up with the ladies next time ;-] Danny - meeting you was worth the wait. What WAS your arrival time? 1AM, 2AM, 3AM??? And the best quote: "I'm glad this was my first Levelfest!" or something to that effect ;-] Kevin - Thrown into a cauldron of weirdos with a "Let's just party!" attitude. Isn't it great you have Bill to get you into all kinds of trouble? Nice to meet you and see you next time! Dan - The ORIGINAL sharp dressed man. Nobody wears a $900,- suit like he does ;-] Thanks for putting up some of the pix already. I'm sure the 'net will be flooded with them soon ;-] Constantly on the cellphone figuring out how far away Zak & Leslie were outside Vega$... Jeff - Lead the way to the Geisha house in the bubble! With Bill as the navigator, and Winston saying "we're going the wrong way" over and over. Glad you were there, man. Next Levelfest your place? Brad - On New Year's Day this year, the first person on the face of the planet that we told that we were getting married. Last year's Vega$fest "host" and all time friend. Enjoy Toto XX! (Laurel's working on getting that phone number) Zak & Leslie - I knew there was SOME reason you wanted us to open your gift first ;-] After that there was plenty of Level 42 blaring out of the speakers. Since Laurel and I met on the Digest, it was only right that so many Digesters would be there, at a wedding that could not have happened without the Digest. So our special thanks to you too, Eric. We are both turning in for bed now, rediculously happy that we are married and almost as happy that we got out of Vega$ without ONCE hearing Boogie-Oogie-Oogie (this time ;-]) Carl & Laurel ------------------------------ | ||
