Sorry for the off topic post/question, but have you ever heard "Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band"?  Unless my definition of "big band" is different from yours I think it would fall into the same category.  I enjoy it.

Michael Monsen

I don't have any of his/their music, but I remember seeing this band mentioned at least once in some of the old digest postings, I think AG likes them too.

I guess I will hafta check them out.

Thanks for the suggestion Michael,

Doug

To all...but LJ in particular,

Oh my gosh.....I have to say that as much as I enjoyed JPBD's The
Word is Out...and it truly is a (to quote Travis Baker (possibly)
GRATE Cee-D...ahem, what I mean to say is that The Word is Out
knocked my socks and shoes off. I would say that Word of Mouth
knocked me senseless while it ripped off everything but my skivvies.

LJ is right, Havona, Teen Town, Used To Be A Cha Cha and Wiggle
Waggle are just plain awesome, but then so are Punk Jazz, Barbary
Coast and Domingo. I would say the weakest track might be Continuum,
but that doesn't mean too much as this is really an awesome
compilation of music.

I guess I will have to put it into rotation in the car CD right away.

I also received Mindi Abair's Come As You Are today as well. Nice
music, I enjoyed it honestly, but it doesn't hold a candle to Word of
Mouth. Good stuff nonetheless and it will vie for listening time in
the car as well.

I am tempted by the Heads Up Collection Sampler CDs offerings, but am
slightly hesitant. On the one hand there's all that music for about
20 bucks on 5 or 6 CDs, but then on the other hand I don't really
know anything about any of the artists on Heads Up label...so anyone
have opinion? I'd appreciate some feedback, especially if someone
else obtained any or all of the samplers.

Lastly, I bought the DVD 'Eurotrip' for a couple of bucks at a garage
sale this weekend. Has anyone actually seen this movie? Is it a
keeper or is it gosh awful?

Well.....lest I be accused of being a slacker I think this will be my
last post of the day.....Happy Tom? hee hee hee.

Doug
