a capella music... the original gangstas of the genre

Oh please. Must we really stoop to that sort of violence-based terminology
to describe musicians?

Er, you mean you're happy after the last note fades? That's my favourite

And congrats to you too! Say "hi" to my uncle when you see him. (Which is
a hilarious joke to all Canadians who've met strangers in other parts of
the world who think that, even if you live on the Atlantic coast, you'll
know their long-lost buddy who lives in Vancouver.)

AG showing the humanitarian side of himself, enjoy it friends. :D

I'm going WAAAAYYY off topic here.....my current netflix regimen has me in the middle of Season 1 of Lost.  My question is this:  What are the chances that all the survivors of a plane crash all happen to have screwed up and dodgy pasts.  Makes me worry that if I'm in a plane crash I won't survive because I have a banal past.

Doug: I'm hopeful that Bill, my husband, posts the details about the
fine on the digest today. In simplest terms, McLaren's been fined
for espionage. One of Ferrari's guys gave one of McLaren's guys
technical information about the car, and although McLaren did not use
any of this on their car this year, apparently McLaren has to take
all of the punishment. Has Ferrari been fined? Of course not. They
are Ferrari, the God of F1, and the governing body of Formula One
(the FIA) have always somehow given Ferrari all the benefits of the
doubt - in any situation, not just this one. Shockingly just at last
weekend's race at Spa in Belgium, the president of F1 said that his
favorite driver was Felipe Massa (Ferrari's #1 driver). Crazy!
Everything is always, always political in F1. It's a wonder that I
watch it at all!

Here in the US, the way to see F1 is via cable on the Speed Channel.
There are a few select races throughout the year that CBS broadcasts,
and luckily it's only a few. The announcers on Speed are the best,
and it's shocking that we have such incredible announcers in this
country, since the average American has no idea what F1 even is!

I'm sure all this F1 discussion is boring to most, so sorry for the
off-topic chat.

Willem and Kirsti: Congrats on your marriage!

Mike in Sydney: I completely agree...I think Mark has always done
sad songs remarkably well. :) Ship, included!

Take care all,
Jennifer

So, I know it will come to people saying that off topic posting is
bad, but hey, I am very passionate about this, and this is the only
thing to make me want to vomit in the past 10 years.

Someone from Ferrari sent 800 pages of plans to someone at McLaren.
This is bad. One team having the plans from another is bad, and it
was a terrible thing. The plan was for these 2 engineers to go to a
third team (toyota or honda), and they would be so impressed, they
would be hired away and all would be great.

The problem was that the McLaren engineer took the Ferrari stuff to a
local copy shop, and the copy shop worker alerted the authorities.

There was evidence that 4-5 people knew that the engineer had the
information, and that they discussed it before a couple of races, but
that none of it was used in the car, or development wise. They had
the information, but didn't do anything with it.

The big scofflaw is that 3 years ago 3 Toyota engineers were found
guilty in court of possessing Ferrari data, and used it on the Toyota
car to develop the car further. Nothing happened to Toyota. No fine,
no penalty, nothing... Why? this is the big mystery.

Nothing more from here, I am a huge McLaren fan, and I really despise
Ferrari...

:)

More information than most people ever wanted to know about this
topic...

I plan on posting again in about 8 years.

Bill
