For all you folks out there who love funky house, britfunk, etc. I have the
ultimate website. Deephousepage.com http://www.deephousepage.com/mixes.php?nRecSet=250 literally
has thousands of mixes from some of the big Chicago, NY and UK DJs from the
heydey of this stuff getting played on mainstream radio [Larry Levan from
Paradise Garage and Sound Factory, Steve Silk Hurley, Frankie Knuckles,
etc.]. KISS and WBLS in NY were known for having outstanding DJs in the
80s and 90s who played mixes that incorporated great 70s old skool
jazzfunk tracks, britfunk tunes and just plain music to bop your head and
tap your foot to. In fact, there was a DJ named John Robinson who used to
play a lunchtime house music mix that was fantastic - I used to listen to it
when I drove to lunch when I had my first job in 1990. If you love that
style of music, definitely bookmark this URL - you will not regret it!!
Hey Winston - they have Merlin Bob and Tony Humphries Saturday night
mixes! I know you'll like that...
