Well...
It's rather odd.
They've recorded a nice sub-low though!
And it's jazzy all right.
Nice to know about it and having it heard. But to my humble opinion there's no need for Mark to put it on his next Trash CD...

Bass regards,
Huge Rademaker

PENNY LANE feat. Mark King
18/04/2007
Christophe Violland invited Mark to join a Sgt. Pepper tribute project
which resulted in him singing Penny Lane for the album which is
entitled "Les Violland Scarabées".

Check out Mark King doing vocals and bass on The Beatles classic "Penny Lane".

Hi All,
I was put in mind of Hot Rats era Frank Zappa by the instrumentation on Penny Lane.
And I quite like it too. I'd download it if it was possible.....which it isn't.

While you're all in critic mode have a look here too.

That's me on drums that is. And only about the fifth time we'd ever played it. Which shows!!

Cheerio,
Mark W,

I thought Mark brings a refreshing change to the Beatles song. Jazzing it up a bit in this version only makes it better. Two thumbs up!!

I'll correct my profile on the site, but my new email addy is emikatie @ roadrunner.com
