Chris L wrote - I'm also *fairly* sure that Lyndon didn't tour with the band in 1990
during the Hammersmith run. What was it- 10 nights in
a row, all sold out?

Lyndon was part actually of the band on keys and backing vocals during the Hammersmith run. There's photos and reviews which back this up.

All nights sold-out? No, on the one night that I went (probably the second or third night in)there were about three or four central/rear sections in the stalls that were empty. I remember having stall seats at the side and moved into the empty centre sections as soon as the gig got underway.

It's hard to believe that these gigs were almost 16 years ago!

Chris L, while i'm sure there are TONS of factual errors on any Wiki,
the bits about
Holdsworth and Lyndon Connah are in fact, correct. Lyndon did play on those
Hammy gigs, and Alan was the guitarist. There are boots floating around
of those
gigs, and one of them was broadcast on the radio.

Lolita, thanks for sharing that house music link. I've since downloaded
some
sets, and loaded them on the Ipod. Its amazing to hear this stuff,
really takes
me back to those early days when all the NYC stations were competing with
different DJ's spinning sets every weekend.

thanks,

Win

To whoever will correct the wikipedia file -

The Hammersmith run was 15 nights - I went to 2 - and had my car towed away!

I'm sure it was Mike on keyboards, as the Capital tapes would verify. Similarly Im sure it was Alan Holdsworth. , also Thirkell & Barnical.

I'm sure Lyndon Connor only ever played with Mark's L42 Reborn. In fact I had seen him play with the Human League on the Secrets tour before with The King Brothers.

Who are Stayton Heyward And Neil Collins? I've never heard of them, let alone in connection with L42.
