Which implies that The Garden is inferior? I haven't
got round to it, in spite of the those being two of my
favourite albums of recent years. Like most of my
album buying these days, a 12 to 18 month wait should
see it turn up on eBay in my price bracket.

> Unsure how many of these people made it in the US
but check out Tears for Fears, Style Council,
Incognito, Sade and Seal - all stuff that other Level
42 'fans' have mentioned in the past. They've all
created some absolute gems.

The mere mention of Sade is still enough to bring me
out in a cold sweat, but I'm wondering if the above
means I am not, as it's always seemed to me, the only
person to think that The Style Council were better
than The Jam. Our Favourite Shop is something of a
tour de force.

Eh? "Brokered-time programs"?

Eh? "As a bed"?

Two countries divided by a common language indeed.

Dag nammit. That pesky internet has caused nothing but
trouble.

I've been lucky enough to see him a couple of times,
but both times at the appalling Wembley Arena where
the crowds are the least discerning bunch of tourists
you'll ever find at a gig. The second time he opened
with Love's In Need Of Love Today and all around me
nonplussed people wondered why I had tears streaming
down my face.

Ah, the nostalgia... that was the last time I managed
to provoke someone into a personal e-mail having a go
at me. The correspondent in question - someone who I
like and respect and who must have been having a bit
of an odd day - thought it was insulting to the Digest
readership and that I owed you all an apology. I have
no recollection as to whether I made that apology, so
here it is just in case - sorry folks! Sorry for
Betsy, sorry for slagging off Aylesbury, sorry for
everything, the whole damn ten years, the occasional
disappearances for months on end, the George Benson
story, sorry sorry sorry!

I used to get someone raging at me via personal e-mail
every couple of weeks. I guess I was young and
irreverent then. Now I'm nearly 40 and irrelevant.

Gang,

I am now the recipient (lucky or unlucky) of the S Club 7 - S Club
disc. I will listen to it a little later and I may or may not let you
know what I think.

Ummm...nothing much else to say at this time.....

Oh wait, great posts from both Craig Hughes and Trent No Last
Name.....oh wait Marner.

A certain digest member and I are plotting evil things for the
digest.....maybe....whoo haa haa haa haa....cough cough.

Toodles, y'all

Doug (I must be bored today)

Folks,

Oh gosh, how do I put this? S Club 7 isn't....bad.....in fact, I can
see it being a guilty pleasure, not something I would readily admit
to liking, except to 470 of my closest firneds.

I got into listening to music (oh god, I am really gonna lose
credibility) by listening to Janis Ian, The Captain and Tenille,
ABBA, Barry Manilow and lots of disco, Yvonne Elliman anybody?,
Crystal Gayle, The Monkees, and a bunch of other stuff like
that.....so, these guys are right in my old time wheelhouse. I
wanted, badly, to dislike them but darn it every single song I was
bobbing my head and even tapping my toes. So, I might even order
another of their CDs....maybe.

Anyways......if the consensus is that I hafta go.....sigh......well I
guess I'll tuck my tail between my legs and say sayonara.

Sniff Sniff......

Doug

Oh...more of my old listening habits.....

America, Sheena Easton, Helen Reddy (LOVED her) and more....

Slinking out the door.....
