Steely Dan

Cheers AG. I understood some of that, although it doesn't make up for missing them (again).

My young brother went along and pretty-much echoed your comments but with much smaller words.

Haircut 100

I had a blast of Pelican West myself last week whilst fondly remembering the great "beer tour" concert from Fairfield Halls a few years ago featuring Nick Heyward, Ben Vol-p-Curiosity, Go West and somebody else - quality stuff.

Chill out stuff

I'm a massive Zero7 fan too. Some of the more relaxed stuff from Faithless / Sister Bliss is also worth a listen. Much is full on dance (I guess) but there are some gems like 'Blissy's Groove' and 'Everything will be alright tomorrow' that are great funky chill out tunes.

You may also want to tune into Groove Salad via your web media player. You won't listen full time because much is a bit same'y but you will hear a few artists on here that are worth a follow-up.

Fred

2.  retroglide

I actually really like retroglide.  There are some tracks which make no sense to me.  Ships, for instance, has got to include the most awkward sounding lyrics I've ever heard.

The dvd is good too.  Having only seen the Live at Reading one (besides the stuff from the eighties) it was refreshing to see them put on a show as a opposed to having a jam session with their tunes.

Who all is going to see them at Arundel? I'm flying out for that, first time I will see them live.  I've only waited 22 years for this. :D

Hope all is well.

Another kid?? Aroooo?

I will share that Adz takes STRONG offense to being referred to as a
kid. He prefers "Child-Like He-Man", thank you very much.

Been reading the late January 2003 digests and Mike the Pom started a
small trail of postings regarding those awful email disclaimers. Had
a few nice responses from His Highness Eric, Her Highness Lolita,
David Loundy posted a detailed and in the end funny message about
disclaimers using an example of one particular disclaimer and then
came this.....:

**** Important Notice to Recipients ****
The information in this e-mail is largely cobblers and intended to be
forgotten practically as soon as read. If you are not the addressee one is
bound to ask what the hell you are doing reading it, let alone all this
drivel. As Internet communications are capable of data corruption, no
responsibility is accepted for changes made to this message after it was
sent. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Furthermore, no liability or
responsibility is accepted for viruses, technical malfunctions, Pop Idol,
the decline of the British Empire, Adam Sandler or The Lighthouse Family.
Please address any further queries regarding e-mail policy to Norman Stanley
Fletcher.

I bet you can't guess who included this at the end of their message.
I nearly missed it, but noticed the mention of Adam Sandler and just
had to read it....by the way I can't stand Adam Sandler. My
compliments to the, ummm, chef.

Back to my lurking and reading again.......
