***** BREAKING NEWS *****

I may have confirmed my first US corporate sponsor and confirmed some financing as well - stay tuned - I submitted a corporate sponsorship/proposal a few weeks ago after learning that in fact L42 were not coming over and a sour e-mail I received from Mark's agent Neil Warnock. I got the response last night about 6:45pm CST and it was a YES!!!!!!!! I tried to call a few US Levelheads to surprise them and give them a heads up, only to get voicemail all three times! So - perhaps a big hurdle has been crossed today - still loads more to do and this committe and its' assignments will start very soon.

Thanks Steve Whyte and Alex Friesen - sorry I missed
all the initial discussion on Retroglide's sound
quality. Your explanations made a little sense but I'm
still disappointed. I like the CD but expect better
quality from our Mr King.

Loli'a - beautifully put, as always. Thank you, my
friend. Can any other Digestives share any non-L42
albums that move them, or take them to another place?
Maybe imagine you can only have 5 CDs, apart from your
Level 42 collection, an a desert island (yes, that old
chestnut). And for the smartarses - yes, there is a CD
player and electricity. Another one of mine would be
Paul Weller's self-titled debut solo. And call me
old-fashioned, but the Genesis album And Then There
Were Three is another.

First album I ever bought? Wear It's 'At by The
Rubettes. I think it was 1972. Would love to get hold
of it on CD.

Craig Hughes: thanks for sharing the video - what a
nutbag - back in the day, that guy would have been
considered one crazy cat! I think if MK started
playing like that, Nathan would probably end up with a
fat lip if he wandered behind him on stage! I remember
as a kid, seeing footage of Bill Haley & the Comets,
with his bass player actually standing on the bass
while he played it at an angle. Great stuff.
More importantly, how about a CD of Level 42 classics
remixed to incorporate the xylophone? And why have I
never seen a bargain-bin CD 'Level 42 on Pan Pipes'?

Anyone got a favourite Level 42 lyric? You know, words
that you connect with or enjoy singing along to more
than others? I really like Kansas City Milkman, She
Can't Help Herself, Out of Sight and Sleepwalkers.

I wonder if many sufferers of Tourette's back in the
70s saw the possibility of a successful career as lead
singer in a punk band? Just a thought.

I've asked this before and had no response so I'll try
again: anyone know of a Jaydee bass for sale? Bloody
hard to come by here in Australia!

Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman)
