Folks,

I am back from vacation after having worked on irrigation and
electrical issues at my house the first two days and hanging out with
the kid all three days. We spent a lot of money getting the
electrical work done and a lot of time futzing around with the
irrigation system. But you don't care about that stuff, do you?

I received in the mail several items and I am so pleased....Steve
Whyte, otherwise known as the Running Gag sent me a CD he burned of
the EP that Post Pop Federation put out and some other ML odds and
ends. I am so pleased. Steve, you may indeed be the RG, but also You Da Man!

Also, Jeff Mahoney and I have been exchanging emails and we've agreed
upon an exchange of sorts. Speaking of Da Man....Jeff you are the
Boss Man! Now I have to have time to do my end of the bargain and
soon Mr Mahoney will be in possession of some pretty neat hat pins.
Next week I have time to myself and I can't wait. But, I will do Jeff
proud if only because he is such an upstanding kind of guy.

From Amazon UK I received MLs 'Conversations With Silence' so now I
will get to experience whether the people who raved about the music
are correct or whether the good AG was correct in calling it less
than brilliant. I will let you know what I think.

From Amazon (US) I received The Nuclear Whales 'Fathom This' and sad
to say it looks like they're defunct. I checked their web page and
they've not put out an album for at least 6 years and don't seem to
be touring of late either. Drat......I've known about them for at
least 15 years and always wanted to see them, I guess I missed out on
my chance.

Also, to answer Michael's question from the other day.....yup, I have
run into my previous posts and the thing I do notice is that I type
just like I talk, I am one of those people who subvocalize as I type
and how many words I miss putting into my posts and/or how many
grammatical errors I make....I am kinda surprised that my good friend
AG hasn't pointed that out before, but perhaps he goes easier on the
unwashed masses from across the pond. Could be true, who knows....or
else it might be because I grovel and slavishly admire him so.
Snicker. And no....I don't usually proofread, kinda takes the
spontaneity out of my posting and I know I'd hate that, make it seem
more like a formal letter or...gasp....work. Ewww, perish that thought.

Also, Mr Trudell, you know I get what you say about being too tired.
As I approach 50 my daughter seems to be gaining more stamina, energy
and strength....I dread the teenage years. But, that shotgun is on
order and so are the chastity belts (sorry if that is a tad offensive).

I've ordered but not yet received the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band
'XXL'...I know there's people out there who like him/them and I was
hoping for some recommendations. If there's something I just have to
have please tell me which album to buy.'

I've also ordered what seems to be the S Club 7's self titled album
from 2000, I've seen discussion about them and will look to see if I
can track the discussion down as I read, but if anyone has any
suggestions let me know. I would appreciate it.

Well, that ought to be more than enough.....bye y'all.

I've been reading backwards today....no not kind of
backwards.....from the latest digest back and now I've discovered
that my memory played tricks on me.

I think Zero 7 was what I was supposed to remember and not S Club 7.
Well, I hope S Club 7 is worthwhile listening....anybody know?

Have been listening to The Running Gag's CD he sent me and I have to
say that PPF's music while not that commercial was really enjoyable.
But I can see why he went on to Da Lata. The ability to make money is
always a nice thing to do.

I also have to say I really enjoy Mike's singing voice.

Poof....I am gone

I have been meaning to ask this for a bit and kept forgetting.

I have a mangled copy of the Cover 42 project that I absolutely loved
and recently played it and it broke......and the tape player mangled
the hell out of it. I let out an anguished and enraged bellow/shriek
and needless to say I was quite unhappy.

So, you wonderful peoples, any chance that this got put onto a CD by
some enterprising soul? Perchance?

If not, can some kind person let me know about what I would have to
do to obtain another copy on tape?

Listening to Conversations With Silence now.....I like it. More
later....me go home now.

*poof*
