Hey all you people.... I didn't get the last digest, even after trying to send it to myself twice, and since I submitted two messages to the digest I know there had to be one. I wonder what the heck is up with that? Hey Friesen I am in your camp now. I had an email exchange with Jeff Mahoney who is going to burn some of Rebecca Johnson's music for me, and with no humor at all informed me that she was a bass player...and darn it, in the cobwebs in my head that fact came sailing through to bop me in the head. How embarrassing, then I remembered that she has/had a rep as a damn good bass player, too. While attempting to send myself the latest digest...and failing twice to receive it I went onto the archives and did a quick search on myself. I found a post from early 1997 and do you what it really funny? I read that I was 6 months behind! At least I know that some things NEVER change. Oh and my sappy behavior too, I was going all gushy over certain listers of the time.....Lolita (oh now there's a shock), Eric 'our fearless leader', Pat Flanangan, Loz and Winman - of whom I referred to as Loz Lite for gosh sakes! All is right with world when you know that not only am I behind in my reading of the digest, but that I am also thanking digest members for being who they are. Sheesh. I decided to answer my own question regarding the nuclear whales and ordered one of their CDs, so I will have a report for you sooner or later I am sure. In a photo of the group one of the members plays a contrabass sax that is just huge...it is taller than he is and the bell is honking huge. I can't wait for it to come. That's it for now....
