| Wow, that was the best one for years. A great start with Kenny Thomas and thanks to all of you that suggested he was worth a watch. Otherwise my daughter and I may have still been in the bar. If he can just borrow Incognito's horn section next time ! Not my favourite set list (and it included some I wouldn't ever bother with), but it was just great to hear the band playing well together, with a sound reproduction that I think was pretty much spot on. Don't know much about music (apart from what I like) but the performance was a lot more polished and together than it's been for a long while. Everything appeared to gel - Mark's voice was excellent and even GH didn't sound as if he was trying to pierce the skins this time. Starchild and Milkman were awesome. Mike Lindup - what a class act and nice to see the second generation band members gazing at him with adoring eyes every time his fingers brought another dimension to every tune. The new tracks ? Well, they're new and they are different and, if anything, hearing them live has given them a new dimension already. Sleeptalking will be played for years I'm sure. Just listened to Retro again and it continues to grow. Now listening to Heathrow ..... Oooooh :-) Fred ___________________________________________________________ Tiscali Unlimited Broadband with FREE weekend calls only 12.99! http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/ | ||

| hey everyone! after mysteriously not getting the digest for quite some time, i've recently gotten back on the list (who knows what happened, since i didn't unsubscribe?!). anywho, i just read a message about the 'house of blues tour 2007'. are you telling me the guys are coming to the states? or maybe canada? details please! i've been a fan since 'something about you' hit the states, but i've never seen the guys. i had tickets when they were scheduled to appear in washington, dc (about 100 years ago!), but the show was cancelled:(! so, can someone fill me in? thanx. susan. |
