'allo ...

... I just got back to Australia after my first visit
to the UK in 14 years. I swore I wouldn't post this
but I feel I must: while there, I went back to my old
stomping ground on the Isle of Wight and spent the
best part of an hour with two of the nicest people
I've met - Mark's parents. I'm so grateful that (a) we
have a mutual friend who introduced us and (b) they
allowed me into their home and made me feel so
welcome. Fantastic stuff. Thanks Ray and Bridget, it
meant a lot to me.

Picked up a $5 CD today called 'Muschihaus Volume 2'
which has a bunch of funky tracks beat-mixed into each
other. L42's 'Starchild' emerges out of Eddi & Dus's
'Starlite' and empties into Satin Souls' 'Recover'.
Not bad at first listening. Anyone else heard this?
Web address is www.muschihaus.de.

Heard Mark interviewed while driving through the
Scottish Highlands with Jack The Lad - lovely stuff.
Malaysia was great, except for the motorbike crash I
had on Langkawi. Let me know if you want to see
gruesome pics. India was a toilet, except up in the
mountains and down in Goa. Thanks for asking.

Did you miss me?

Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman)

I get a lot of that. Nothing to do with Take 6, I just
get a lot of blank stares.

Over here hardly anybody has even heard of Take 6
(take a bow Stephen Whyte). So for those whose lives
feel emasculated without jazz gospel a cappella (and
which of us can't relate to that familiar emotion?)
this may help:

There's a link to an almost note-perfect performance
of their extraordinary 'David & Goliath' there as
well. And the video of 'Spread Love', which I didn't
even know existed.

I didn't say anything about becoming a citizen, I said
a resident, just so I could hear the download. If you
want me to become a citizen you'll have to try a bit
harder than one Take 6 cover version to convince me.

They manage to get 100 questions out of your history?

Just my little joke chaps, just my little joke.

Hmm. I can still name all six members of Haircut 100,
will that do?

Oh, I've used lots umpteen times. A quick scan of the
Sent Messages I never clear out shows two Midnight
Expresses and, oddly, two Hairdresser's Husbands. And
that's just from the last couple of years. Don't let
it upset you.

Shyamalan's 'Signs' is a perfectly coherent and Oscar
worthy piece of cinematic bliss."

HA! Very good. What a shame only you and I get the
