1. I'm going to the RAH show on the 19th, Lolita. Already got my concert ticket in the mail. I think it would be fun to meet the other Digesters whose posts I've been reading over the years! 2. Winston, sorry for not writing in earlier. I have your back on this Digest against any naysayers. Bob C took the words right out of my... keyboard. Let's hope the gentleman wasn't talking about you; you're a standup guy and good friend. -Jennifer | ||

BobC wrote: "....Winston doesn't need or probably want my defense...but in this case, if anyone is taking shots at him and his intentions, they really don't know what the hell they're talking about..." Well BobC you are entitled to your view, I am entitled to mine, and frankly speaking, I do know what the hell I am talking about and for someone, like Winston and others, who have proliferated TONS of bootlegs have absolutely NO ROOM WHATSOEVER to advise others on what they can do with their collection - period! I am not questioning his motives, his intentions, or his dedication to others - but when he gets on his high horse and starts to dictate to others some sort of "bootleg morality" it really does beg a belief! He is just as guilty as I am and many others who have shared bootleg material with friends and fellow fans and to be blunt about it, whether you burn it to a CDR or post it on
your own website - you are still proliferating material no matter if it is for one person or for a million! I share Winston's view about people trying to sell the material on Ebay and hope he and others continue to try to stamp out people making profit off of material we got for free. My point was not about sharing ones' collection, but for Winston to criticize others in this area is hypocritical. MIKE

| I was watching a bloody funny DVD last night with my son Jack - 'Bill Bailey Live at the Apollo'. Anyone seen it? Anyway, there's this bit he does where a politician is giving a speech while smoking dope. He gets distracted, then fascinated, by a squirrel: "Oh look, there's a squirrel ... ha ha ha ha ... look at his little arms ... looks like the bass player of Level 42, don't he." Which leads me to another thought: is there a Level 42 fan who's so mental that they'd collect this DVD because it has a mention of the band? Would they tape and add to their collection an episode of EastEnders because RITF was playing for 4 seconds in the Queen Vic? Just a thought... Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |
