| OK, I'll throw this out there just to see what everyone thinks. A few years back, the band Marillion was able to tour the U.S. because of an internet campaign where fans banded together and raised all the necessary money. I'm *relatively* sure that the band's management took care of all the bookings, publicity, set up at each venue, travel/lodging and so forth, but the reason that all happened is because they didn't have to worry about how it was going to be financed. Now I have absolutely no idea what it would cost upfront to finance a tour, but if someone with band connections would like to try and find out and then report back we could at least see if it was feasible. Obviously, we'd not only promote this through the Digest but with all the Level 42 & related websites and maybe even some similar acts with a U.S. fan base. If Marillion fans could pull this off, there's no reason we couldn't either. Plus- as I recall- the band recorded and released a special CD exclusively for the fans who contributed money. Thoughts, everyone? Chris L. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo!
