>>Speaking of Incognito, there is a new 25th anniversary CD
coming out called Let the Music Play. I'm sure its spectacular - I'm going
to try to get a copy soon. I am still kicking myself that I had to miss
that concert last December...

Loita,
I missed the concert to and was totally gutted! I heard from a friend that
went, that Bluey invited all the artists that were there to sing 'Still A Friend
of Mine' on stage...can you imagine what an evening that must have been?
Let me know if you get any dates for the release of the CD as I will
definatly buy it!
TCOY

| Don, et al. Here's a good few reviews from consumers. http://www.epinions.com/pr-Headphones_Apple_Computer_Sony_Fontopia_Ear_bud_Headphones_T4439LL_A/display_~reviews I've not used them, but since the earpieces look like those from my stethescope, so I may try them out. They do look comfortable, indeed. Take care, ~Sean | ||

Has anyone compared them to the Shure E3c? Don Z | ||

| Spaketh DonZipf... > *3. Fontopia* > Has any one tried the Sony Fontopia earphones ($39)? They look more > comfortable and ear-sealing than trad earbuds, but I wonder about their > sound quality. Don, I have the Fontopia MDR-EX71SL as my "everyday" headphones. Really I think they're pretty nice, and hold me over just fine when I don't feel like bringing along the rig (Etymotic 4S powered by Headroom Cosmic Traveller w/ updated modules). My only gripe about them has been that one of them doesn't seem to seal as well as it used to- I suppose if it bothered me that much, I'd figure out Sony's part number for the replacements. I, too, have looked at the new Shure line of 'phones. Unfortunately, I have nearly a grand invested in headphones alone, and another pair would probably drop the spousal-approval-factor of all my toys. :) M EAC+lame MP3 160kbps VBR, 60 GB and counting | ||

I'd never have figured that out on my own :) > Has any one tried the Sony Fontopia earphones ($39)? They look more > comfortable and ear-sealing than trad earbuds, but I wonder about > their sound quality. > Actually, those were the earphones I was looking at as an alternative to the E3c's that you've got. I read quite a few reviews that said they were quite comparable, and $100 cheaper. For obvious reasons, I wasn't able to find any stores that would let me try them out. I'd have bought them anyway if I hadn't found the KOSS PortaPro (one of the ugliest, but very functional and great sounding sets I've used). |
