| Steve, You need to get the portrait of Boon off the back of the 'The Chant Has Begun' single - blow it up and put it on a tee shirt, that's bound to impress her. Or you could always serenade her with some of Boon's mindblowing lyrics - try 'When love becomes a novel to a war, and your words are a sword, it's too late, they've been said', but probably don't try 'was there meaning to your moaning or were you just mean in the morning when you murdered my scrambled eggs?' The reaction to the news about Phil and Mike working together has been disappointing. It's a damn shame - if Mark announced another greatest hits gig people would behave like a baying pack of dogs. I think this is significant, it's the first time original members of the band have actually worked together on the production of new material for over 11 years. (Bearing in mind that Boon and Mark didn't actually meet to make One Man). If you need convincing about how good Mike is - listen to Changes. If you need convincing about how good Phil is - listen to Guaranteed, then listen to Forever Now. L()Z |
