I was in college when Running in the Family came out, and would play the
entire tape in the mornings before going to class. My roommate used to
want to kill me, because she said Its Over made her so depressed and that
hearing that song was a horrible way to start your day. She would
unconsciously sing along, and then yell at me because she couldn't get it out of
her head...

I like Why Are You
Leaving, which I also feel is one of their best overall
songs.

| I don't have a DVD-A player--hell, I don't even bother with surround for my widescreen TV--but I did want the videos and bonus content from Donald Fagen's two previous solo albums (a third is promised very soon), so I sprang for the two mixed-content DVD-A offerings available from Rhino (www.rhino.com). The Nightfly one is spartan, with little more than the video for "New Frontier". However, the Kamakiriad disc is worth the price, having the videos for "Tomorrow's Girls" and "Snowbound", lyrics, photo gallery, and a decent behind-the-scenes docu in which Walter Becker gives a brief tour of his Hawaii-based home studio (in which Roger Nichols can be seen at work). I have no idea what the 5.1 mixes sound like--maybe one day I'll get a system and find out. :o) Don Z |
