Oddly enough, I was 6 or 7 years old and my first level 42 song was Two
Solitudes.
My father had the running in the family album, and solitudes, along with
children say have and will always be very meaningful. My question is...has
this song ever been played anywhere but on the studio recording of RITF?
Anything at all?
I've been playing guitar almost 15 years now, and I can truly appreciate
Boon Gould's mastery with the strings on this one....have you ever listened
close to the guitar work on this song. I believe it may in fact be one of
the very few Guitar driven Level 42 songs, and I believe this is why I clung
to it. The off-chord progression and picking seems almost IMPOSSIBLE!
wow...isn't that beautiful....I listen to it, and I have no idea where to
start with a tab. (I love those chords)

Picked up the entire back catalog, and at 23...this band before my time
means everything.
How do you explain that feeling after listening to a level 42 disc late at
night? somewhat magic..certainly nostalgic of my childhood and how good
music never dies.

Now, If only I could pick up Conversations with silence, and mark's solo
albums which I haven't heard, still great music to look forward to, i'm sure
of it..

Jody

Hi All

Hot water was the 1st song I heard of Level 42 closely followed
by Lessons in Love. I heard these 2 tracks around the time
Running in the family was released......I go who are these guys.
I had plenty of albums to discover. what a time.
Unfortuately Sydney or Australian Radio never really played Level 42.
all those albums missed while a bunch of idiots yap on thinking there funny
which they are not..........and when they finally stop yapping they play crap anyway.

an impeccable groove
Cheers From Sydney
Jeff
