Just to let a few know - that our friends in New Orleans, Julie & Monique, evacuated out of the city and region, early morning (2:00am) Sunday Aug 28 and headed north out of harms way.    As I write this, this storm has reached Category 5 status, with 175mph sustained winds, with gusts over 200mph.  The storm surge is expected to reach over 25 feet - and if it does hit New Orleans as they are predicting, the entire French Quarter could be flooded with over 30 FEET of water - needless to say a very grave situation!  I am just glad to report our friends are going to be safe - and may whatever force in nature protect New Orleans and the people of Lousiana and the Gulf Coast, I fear we may see damage that we have not seen in over 100 years - pure catastrophic damage!

Vive le New Orleans!
