| Well, since i manage a movie theatre, i've seen the film a few times now. I found it very funny, but its not for everyone obviously. The humour is rather silly, and i would imagine we have at least 2 or 3 people that walk out of every show, because they have no idea whats going on, or they didnt know what to expect. All the newspaper reviews in NYC have been medium, sort of 2 or 3 stars out of 4 reviews. It is however the number 1 film in the country, and is expected to remain that way until the release of the new Star Wars film. I recently listened to the book on my IPOD, and still found it funny as hell, but i;ve never heard the radio drama, or seen the BBC tv show. I recently rented the DVD set, buthavent had a chance to watch it. Win ps. Swing Out Sister are coming to NYC in June, so be aware NYC fans!! | ||

| Also, for anyone interested, BBC (two I think) also had a continuence of the radio series that started airing about 6 mo ago. While they seem to have left the online ratation, I'd expect to see a CD copy of it on thier store site shortly (or look to Slashdot, I'm sure someone ripped it). One very creepy thing about the new radio series was that they used some archived reels of Douglas Adams for some of the speaking parts. Even though I knew it was coming, I was unprepared when I heard his voice again... |
