It's over has got to be the best break-up song ever. The lyrics are unflinchingly cold.

In answer to Tim in Phillys question, "It's Over" has got to be my candidate
for best break up song over "Leaving Me Now". The "kitchen sink" 7" version
with the steel guitar & harmonica is arguably more poignant than the album
version. Possibly that was the intention when it was released like that.
Personal (sad) experience is bound to colour peoples opinion in this subject
so I'm just glad that I never broke up when "Lying Still" or "Talking In
Your Sleep" was on my CD player!!

Mark Woodhouse

Which do you think is better - "Leaving Me Now" or
"It's Over"? Of course other suggestions are welcome.

Tim

I really like the instrumental version of "It's Over"

Years ago I worked for a store in a mall and I could
hear the muzak playing out in the mall area. One time
I heard a Muzak version of "Leaving Me Now" that I was
never able to track down. It really did sound pretty
good.
