years, and I’m sure there’s a bit of mileage left in
this bizarre new allegiance to Deacon Blue, but I’d
like to say that I find it refreshing to see someone
stand up and make as honest and self-aware a statement
as this. Well played son.”

 

I bet Donald and Walter are wringing their collective hands as they rue not writing such fantastic lyrics as Ricky’s classic “I did what I should have did – yeah! Oooh oooh woooh oooh” etc. Poor old Deacon Blue. Not so poor Steely Dan. Personally I wouldn’t settle for Lidl when I can have Waitrose, but each to their own.

 

Mind you AG, ‘Everything Must Go’ is SD’s own ‘Guaranteed’ – is it not?
