My most prized L42 possession is something I wrote years ago. In the middle of one of my stories, an aspiring writer has written a play titled "It's Over" that is based on the song and is trying to stage it for a Broadway producer. | ||

My most prized Level 42 possessions are:
Pair of signed drumsticks from Signed flyer, also for our wedding day, from Mark (signed in the dressing room at the Jazz Café) Signed tickets from Mike’s Ealing Broadway Jazz Festival (which is were I first heard tracks for Conversations with silence, and Mike sang West Coast Man for me) Memories of the
Maybe not the most priceless of possessions, but they all have a special place in my heart.

| Hello playmates ... ... I was in my favourite second-hand CD store here in Sydney yesterday (Ten Seconds Down in Chatswood, for any locals) and was very happy to find the Japanese version of The Early Tapes. It had colour sleeve art, unlike the UK release, and I figured this was simply a reduced version of the vinyl art, because on the back it separates the tracklisting into 'Side A' and 'Side B'. It was complete with Japanese language insert and, at only $12.95, I grabbed it. It's a while since I've seen a Level 42 CD I haven't already got. In the same store there's a copy of Mike's Changes CD for $39.95, behind the counter with the 'you can't touch me because I'm so rare' stuff. I was blown away by the asking price, mainly because I bought my spare copy of Changes in another second-hand store for only $5.00. So here's a question for the panel: (a) what's the best L42/L42 related bargain you've had and (b) what's the most overpriced L42/L42 related item you've seen or bought? Put some effort in, people - not only am I genuinely interested but we really need some Level 42 dialogue here ... Fantastic crowd! Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! - Internet access at a great low price. http://promo.yahoo.com/sbc/ |
