Is this kind of language acceptable on the digest? Should we really be
mentioning the place where they bow down and worship at the feet of
'Mark King's Le*el 42'. I'll start taking my medicine again.

Hey Colin,

I think there's two Toms on the list here, but as I am
one of them . . .

Vince Guaraldi? not a bad second baseman, really,
played for the Boston Red sox around 1952, down around
Saragosa . . .

Or the piano player? Well, I like Vinny G. I always
thought his mellow "Christmastime is Here" is one of
the most fun xmas songs to play or hear. The Charlie
Brown theme is also an excellent composition in my
opinion - we can't help that it's overplayed, now ,
can we? Some of his quartet albums have a fun flavor
to them, but I wouldn't put Vince in any kind of
league with some of the other more fluid and inventive
improvisationalists, if that is a word. Still, some
nice stuff.

Now, Diana Krall - that's a big wow. I think she keeps
getting better and better, her voice is pretty
inflective and smoky. Not hard to find her work,
either, as she puts out about three albums a year,
seemingly. I like her as a pianist, accompaning her
own singing, even if she lets off playing while she
sings . . . not everybody is Mark King.

I dunno, what do you think about Andre Previn?
