It’s worth pointing out that only 20% of Level 42’s 5 key players have succumbed to this.
Phil’s been making albums for years, he just never releases them Boon has at least 2 albums in the can and has released two, neither were run of the mill pop regurgitations. Wally continues his pursuit of musical excellence in many forms Mike has a classical/latin album out Mark released two well received albums since Level 42 split, but now he finds himself firmly in the group of artists Simple Mind alluded to. Whilst ever he seeks to gain impetus by using the name ‘Level 42’ he’ll be in that category to a certain extent.

Ah, yesterday's digest was refreshing, wasn't it? Full of vitriol and bile; fit my mood perfectly. I was planning to lambaste almost everybody, but was instead washed away by a tsunami of apathy. Oh, wait, I'm feeling inspired enough for one well-deserved shot: AG, you smell bad. And yo' mama wears army boots! Ha! Keep up the entertaining work! ...Alex... | ||

| Yo Terry! Thought you'd respond to that one and you didn't let the side down!!!! Bonham was such an awesome player, though much misinterpreted by a lot of the general music press as this "loud" & "heavy" player. This man had a huge appreciation for funk, Soul and R&B music and could play as lightly as he could heavily - and all on a basic big-band drummer set-up from the swing-era. I always think it's fantastic when you get a quality player sit down behind a 4-piece kit and make speak with hundreds of different voices. Steve Jordan does this masterfully. Anyway, enough of this drum-bell-whiffery as we've probably lost most of the digesters by now... Nick | ||

| I would like to offer my condolences and regards, to the people of Spain. I know that we have a few L42 Digest members in Spain. I was very saddened and moved by the images on televison, it brought back memories of 9/11 my time here in Oklahoma during the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. I sincerely hope that this is the last horrific event of terrorism I have to witness in my lifetime, but sadly I fear that it may not be. Someday we will all learn.... Michael |
