Had dinner with Mike last night, at the great Da Lata gig in Brussels, and we had a nice friendly chat,
amongst others, about the princess.

Princess?, he asked me, what Princess?
So i told him the story we thought the coverpicture of the first albums cointained a starttrek princess.
He lauched hard,
No, he said, that's not a princess, it was a picture of some queen, from this or that...

Maybe i'll ask him tonight wich one...

Norman
ps for those who haven't seen Da Lata play... try to do so, it's great, with Mike picking up some more instruments...
New tourdates (NY, LA, Russia!!!) will be spread soon, on www.dalata.zzn.com

being a man of few words, all I can say is "bugger me
senseless, now THAT is a collection!" Loz, I'd like to
ask if you have:

Actually,  that collection is several years out of date. It’s grown by probably 15% now

Sorry Mike,

I did get that SITL album –didn’t I email you to thank you? I should have done.

Yes, I have the Guaranteed comp. And the foreign Universal Masters thingy. The list on the net is way out of date as I said in my previous posts.

The thing with the POA cover, as far as I’m aware – they didn’t have the heart to tell Joy Barling they didn’t like the cover.

In my previous job, at Scott Wilson, there was a hydrological engineer down south somewhere called ‘Joy Barling’ – I always made the link between her and the cover of the book that looks quite similar to the cover of ‘The Pursuit Of Accidents’, but I never plucked up the courage to pick up the phone and ask her. The thing about the cover is, it is thought provoking. Like it or loath it, it raises some question like what on earth does it all mean? Album covers really went downhill after the first two, but suppose Staring At The Sun is OK and actually World Machine’s quite interesting too

For all you Brand New Heavies/N'Dea Davenport fans who live in the NYC area, she is performing at Joe's Pub on Thursday, April 8th and I'M THERE!  I saw her last fall in an unbelievable, intimate show, and she will likely do the same tunes.  The set is a great mix of old solo material, great BNH classics, and bumpin' new stuff.  Jennifer, Winman, y'all speak up because I know you won't want to miss this.  Anybody who wants to go, give me a shout by Tuesday so that I can reserve a table.
