| The digest is the only email I enjoy opening up to read on a daily basis. There are a lot of interesting characters participating in this forum with many pensive topics thrown out for discussion. I noticed plenty of you are discussing the Super Bowl halftime show. Regarding that, I cannot say that I was offended by seeing a fading pop star's obviously fake breast on national television, however, I do think most Americans have become far too jaded with all of this nonsense that dominates our pop culture. What offends me are these no talent hacks desperately trying to outdo each other by publicly performing the most cheap, sleazy stunts just to sell a few albums. If you have to rely on debauchery to sell records it's obvious you don't have much in the way of genuine talent. Ms. Jackson's choice to flash a national audience on stage was just stupid in light of the trouble her brother is in and the scrutiny her family is now under. As far as Mr. Timberlake is concerned, I just don't get it. I've never heard of this punk before this incident occurred, but supposedly he's a very big teen idol. To me he looks like he belongs in a German concentration camp. I doubt many people will remember this kid five years from now. Anyway, I've said my piece. The real tragedy in this situation was that it was one of the best Super Bowl games ever, both teams played great, and instead of those points being the highlight the day after, everyone was talking about these two flakes. Anyways, I finally ordered 'Forever Now' off Amazon the end of last year. They said it would take three to four weeks for shipment. Well, I received notice yesterday that they are having trouble locating stock and will most likely be unable to ship one out until the summer. What a bummer! You can hardly find anything in the way of a Level 42 CD in the local record stores in my area. If I ordered a Justin Timberlake CD off Amazon, they would have shipped it out in twenty four hours. What's wrong with this picture? Regards, Aric |
