There you are!

I just wanted to pass along some info on a new artist.
Whilst we wait for the various incarnations of the
ghosts of 42 to shimmer into appearance or vaporize
into self-imposed obscurity, here's a newcomer who I
think may embody the soul and mojo of our favorite
defunct funksters.

milk it, baby. my new hero.

cheers,

> Princess?, he asked me, what Princess? So i told him
> the story we thought the coverpicture of the first

> hard, No, he said, that's not a princess

Hmmm, well, chalk it up to yet another thing this
little band can’t decide on.

MK seems to have no problem peddling his new
merchandising scheme with the title “the princess
bass”…and as MK is All Things Level42 (no small thanks
to Mr. Lindup), doesn’t this mean by sheer default
that no matter what her prior ranking was, she is now,
most certainly, a “princess”?

> The thing with the POA cover, as far as I’m
> aware – they didn’t have the heart to
> tell Joy Barling they didn’t like the cover.

Great business sense!!
’We hate the bloody image that will hopefully
represent us thought the entire world, but let’s stick
with it.’
Joy probably would have got paid anyway, not too
mention a proper manger could have always come up with
a good excuse for the spineless…”the record company
doesn’t like it/they want to go with a photo.” Etc.
Next stop: Stonehenge!

>Album covers really
> went downhill after the first two

Big time.

>but suppose
> Staring At The Sun is OK

But not for that kind of album.

>and actually World
> Machine’s quite interesting too

Like interesting in the way that makes one ponder,
“why don’t they really make nuts and bolts in a lovely
shade of pink?”

Zoiks!
