| >> From: jt <jtraci @ yahoo.com> I joined in... member number 76 << You're such a newbie! I was member 11! >> (and as adults are we _really_ gonna play "I was here first"?) << Oh, er, um, sorry. (Newbie!) >> Sting... Vinnie Colaiuta has left the band is there _anything_ redeeming about your music?" << I saw those two together at Royal Albert Hall way way back in 1992. Freakin' excellent show musically, but Sting was possibly the worst front man I've ever seen. >> a band that can't even get the fact of the origin of their bloody name straight. << If you can read lips, you'll know that Mark explains it at the end of the SAY video. The name came from a car park in Minneapolis. >> As for 'level42 knowledge' (which some may think of as "true" fandom) (whatever that means) I think I could easily go toe to toe with anyone in basics about the band. << Okay, Mr. Smartypants, what kind of sticks did Phil use to warm up before gigs in winter in the southern hemisphere when the band had had the previous day off but flew in on a twin-engine turboprop piloted by ex-Iron Maiden roadies recently out of rehab? On a full moon? >> No doubt! << Yeah, they're good. But having so many different producers makes for a scattered feel on the albums. >> I don't have a miniaturising ray-gun << Said the actress to the bishop. >> Do the lot of you really just want to wait for something you agree with so you can type up the ever repetitive "me too!!" << Man, you are so right on that one! >> From: Lars-Ove Larsson <lazlar @ home.se> Boon... his contributions as a solo artist. << It's the songs we want access to! I need my occasional fix of my favourite Boon song: Fucking Stupid. ...Alex... | ||

Personally, I think both you
guys have great contributions to the digest, probably swayed by the simple fact
that I find empathy with both of your viewpoints and seem unable to express my
own thoughts as eloquently. However, I feel that the lack of any real sort of
L42 activity beyond "greatest hits" tours and the failure of the reunion, are
limiting the digest contributions to "ground-hog day" retorts. It's like we
keep ploughing the same field hoping that something will grow. I fear that too
many dissapointments will eventually cause the digest to implode. Me? I'm just
sitting on the fence, keeping watch in case Phil decides to play\release to the
public again.
