| > 1. 30 QUID! > From: Green, Laurence > > Thirty quid to see GMK? You could knock me down with a feather. Amazing, isn't it? If the numbers of people interested in seeing the same old show continue to decline (looks likely from Julian Best's rather plaintive report), but those in that group are still willing to pay through the nose, is Mark King going to end up in 10 years' time playing to 20 die-hards who've paid a grand each for the privilege? > 5. Cambridge gig > From: Julian Best > > I don't know if anyone else will feel the same as me but I was rather disappointed... Sort it out Mark!!! If there is an upside to your disappointment, perhaps if enough people feel the same (and share your willingness to admit as much) word will filter back to MK that if he wants to do it again next year, he either needs to dust off a few more forgotten gems or (heaven forbid) come up with some new material. > 6. Astoria > From: level42love > > I KNEW there was a reason I love this band; they look out for their fans! Would it be overly cynical of me to suggest that relocating the gig has more to do with lost revenue than disappointed fans? Perish the thought. Alas I am unable to make the get-together, but am available for a Q&A at the Kassam Stadium on the evening of December 8th. I'll be the one in the Oxford Utd hat. AG PS I had a question on a quiz machine the other day - "Which of these bands contained a pair of brothers?" I can't remember the third but two of the options were Crowded House and Level 42. What can you do? The 'correct' answer was Crowded House. ___________________________________________________________ Win a castle for NYE with your mates and Yahoo!
