Last year, I went out with a girl who didn't drink,
dance, drive, swim or own a mobile phone. PLUS she
didn't being in the sun ... we live in Australia for
god's sake! It was only the fact that she shagged like
a minx that kept me interested for 6 months ...

Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman)

2.  Facelift

A woman decides to have a facelift for her 47th
birthday. She spends $15,000 and feels pretty good
about the results. On her way home she stops at a
news-stand to buy a paper. Before leaving she asks the
sales clerk "I hope you don't mind my asking, but how
old do you think I am?" "About 32" the clerk replies.
"I'm actually 47" the woman says happily. A little
while later she goes into McDonald's and asks the
counter girl the same question. The girl replies "I'd
guess about 29." The woman replies "Nope, I am 47!"
Now she is feeling really good about herself. While
waiting for the bus home, she asks an old man the same
question. He replies "I'm 78 and my eyesight is going.
Although, when I was young, there was a sure way to
tell how old a woman was, but it requires you to let
me feel your breasts. Then, I can tell exactly how old
you are." They waited in silence on the empty street
until curiosity got the best of the woman and she
finally says "What the hell, go ahead". The old man
slips both hands up her jumper and inside her bra and
begins to feel around. After several minutes she says
"Okay, how old am I?" He removes his hands slowly and
says "You're 47." Stunned, the woman says, "That is
amazing. How can you tell?" The old man replies "I was
behind you in McDonald's."

Cheers ~ Mike (Sydney City Milkman)

3.  THE ALBUM THAT NEVER EXISTED? (SETLIST SPOILER)

******** (SETLIST SPOILER) ********
If you do not want to know anything about the current setlist, you may want to skip to the next post.

After reviewing the current setlist that Mark's Level 42 is playing, I like about 50% of it and quite bored by the rest of it.  The one thing that still amazes me is that there is still not a single track off of the Guaranteed album, to date since the 1994 tour, he has not played one track from this album, he must really hate these songs, I have posted this type of message for over 3 tours now and I am still amazed that we still can;t hear some of these tracks?  The album did have some killer tracks on it, did it not?   I also realise that Mark is doing these tours commercially, so I guess that why is isn't being as daring with the setlist, he is playing it sort of "safe" I guess, which is a shame - I have to remember that he is not playing to the die-hard fans like myself, which is so frustrating when you know there are some tunes that he has never played live that would simply rock and really showcase his and his bands true talents.   Oh well maybe next time round he will really just go for it and put out some new stuff and really dive into Level 42's back catalogue, as tracks off of the Guaranteed album, The Machine Stops, As Years Go By, Good Man In A Storm, and Freedom Someday deserve to be heard LIVE.   With that being said, I will be at the gigs in Cheltenham and Oxford, so I will be able to hear this setlist in person, so I will withhold final thoughts until I get back!

Just a quick admin update...

I finally got around to fully setting up the Level42Digest.com domain. So,

- your digest emails now come from Level42 @ Level42Digest.com
- you can post messages to Level42 @ Level42Digest.com
- the website is http://www.Level42Digest.com

Note that the old addresses (@worldmachine.com) WILL still work, and I
don't have any plan right now for disabling them.

Please let me know if you have any problems or questions...

thanks!

I always assumed that the band had intended a more dense arrangement for the song, but never finished it, and what's on the CD is as far as they got.  Just my guess.

Btw, there are 3 versions of the Forever Now CD:  BMG-RCA UK, BMG-RCA Japan, and Resurgence, all with different track listings.
