Well, I would like to thank Julie for posting a message for me - as I could not get to my office to write one of my own.  Julie I should let you write the rest of my posts in future!

YES, I am fine - thankfully - it was the most scariest thing I have ever been through in all of my 32 some years.  After having to deal with my mother being so very close to the tornadoes on Thursday night - and then for me on Friday night - it was more than I could bear - still really freaked out to be honest.  All I remember was the sound and deep rumble - and the sounds of things crashing into other things.   Some of you may have seen some of the news coverage - the Wiley Post Airport (NW 50th & Rockwell Avenue) which is less than a half mile from my doorstep - was severely hit - as well as my aunts house just a few block from the airport.   I had to see the devastation in order to believe that it really came that close to me.  They reported yesterday that it was only an F3 tornado - winds between 150-200mph - that sort of hop-scotched across the northern side of Oklahoma City.   All I remember after coming out of our shelter - which BTW was 5 rather "non-slim" adults and 2 dogs with a futon mattress covering our heads - was smelling tons of jet fuel and pine needles.  The only damage I really suffered was to my car - very minor and fixable - mainly more hail damage after the golf ball size hail we had for about 10 minutes.

I am going to take some pixs later today - so I will try to post them after I get them developed.

I am just so very thankful that after all of this my family and friends are safe and sound.   There were a few moments when that seemed un-knowable - and in those few minutes seemed like hours - very anxious and very full of adrenaline - let's just say that it would have taken all of the cider farms in the UK to relax me at that point!

Anyway - thanks to all who wrote and phoned - it did mean quite a lot to me - thanks very, very much.  I hope that nobody on this digest was injured by the storms when they left us for the Mid-west.   Sadly, again, we are in line for storms everyday this week - so I am hoping that the weathermen are wrong - as they are supposed to be, aren't they?

Hi,

I'm back -wooahhahhaha.

West coast of Ireland /Scotland??? Good point - I always thought Mike's inspiration was Scotland, maybe it's Ireland - anyone?

Ha ha - The Spirit Is Free CD single. It's funny, I give out Ebay tips all the time and no-one bats an eyelid - I think the only reason this took off is that myself and Steve Whyte by chance both commented - I think I'd have got away with it if Steve hadn't commented too - too bad!

For info - all I said was:

>>>Please don't anyone spend $75 on the Spirit Is Free CD single - it's worth a third of that.
I should add that I had no idea Mikey was the seller / not that that would have made any difference. I can get a few copies for £12 each ($20ish).
I've got to add in my defence that Mikey said:
>>you want to comment about the amount and listing - FINE
Well, that's all 'I' did.
So I guess the main thrust of the barrage was directed towards Stephen.
This caught my eye though:
>>'I also know (for a fact) that a party who had made comment has absolutely NO room to talk about any sort of ethics!'
That's interesting. Was Mikey talking about me? Or am I paranoid? Would someone PLEASE privately tell me what I am supposed to have done. Personally I think what Mikey's done there is disgusting, it's one thing to actually make an accusation and give someone the opportunity to repudiate it, but to just spread a rumour of a rumour is beneath contempt. I'm assuming this was directed towards me - would someone email me privately and let me know what dastardly atrocity I've committed to compromise my ethics - legal immunity guaranteed to all.
Anyway - great holiday, great to be back -Looking forward to buying 'The Collection' and the forthcoming DVD.

Hi All,

Have you heard of Compact Disc Europe? I heard about it on the digest 4 years ago. It is an internet sales catalogue of CDs and DVDs in Florida. They have an impressive catalogue BUT, there is ABSOLUTELY NO customer service...they won't even talk to you or respond to email...even when it is their fault.
I recently ordered a $60 DVD (Casiopea) and they sent me a USED CD by Creamy (never heard of 'em). I emailed and faxed (no phone number available) and I received zero response. Only after I put the charges in dispute did they send the correct item, which was mis-represented and it was then I discovered they obviously don't accept returns because you cannot communicate with them!
If you decide to order from them, cross your fingers!
Mark

Hi guys i was reading the digest a month or so ago and one of you had posted a link to mix you had done of the new Simply Red tune "SUNRISE" and "LOVEGAMES"  so i down loaded it but found my old media player wouldn't play it. Anyway i have now purchased a new media player and have now managed to listen to it and WOW its brilliant.

Sadly i have forgotten who it was and indeed lost the link to his site so if you read this please make yourself known again and please please send me the link to your site as i am eager to hear more of your work and may i take this opportunity to say well done that was a great mix of two very good tunes of totally different eras.

Anyone who has not heard it i do have a copy of the file so feel free to e-mail me and i will gladly send it on as it well worth a listen

Take care all

Gav
