| Those things on Ebay are bootlegs. Jay - are you the same J Tracey who was around all those years ago???? II guess you obviously should be, but your style of writing didn't seem to be as abrupt. I guess times have changed now as far as Level 42 goes. Back then we were riding high on adrenalin from 'Forever Now' and with Phil back things looked rosy - it was probably the hey-day of the digest. There was few regulars back then, Win, Don, Lolita, Me, yourself, Matt Rice, Pat Flannagan - is Pat still around? Eric of course - I think there were 2 erics, I think AG joined up a little later than most of these. Takeo Sonoi! All these names from the past. I think all in all we achieved quite a lot - must have discussed every little nuance of everything remotely to do with Level 42. There's a few questions unanswered I suppose. Long Box CD's. Americans (US) take note. I have a spare of the Leaving me Now promo postcard which has the single pressed into the postcard. It looks like a postcard, but you can play it on a turntable. It's very rare and I'm looking to swap it for a long box - or even just a part of a long box. A 'lonbox' is 12" high, 6" wide (ish) and is either a cardboard box or a tall plastic caddy containing a CD. I have Guaranteed as a card box, and Running In The Family and Staring At The Sun as plastic caddies. If anyone has any of the others they are willing to swap - or sell me, PLEASE get in touch with me, as longboxes are really my favourite area of collecting, which makes it a great shame that I only have 3. Anyone who dares complain that I've being going on about longboxes for years - why not put your energies into finding me the ones I need. Okay, so I am tying two different forums together here, but bear with me: Norman wrote on the Level 42 Web Digest
NORMAN- you do bring up a good point, whatever happened to this stuff? HHHHHMMMMMM - I bet, in fact I know a few "lucky" people (not me this time) have it and enjoying every bit of it! Sworn by secrecy, Tossers! :) MIKEY

Okay, since some are moaning and complaining about this upcoming tour, re the "same ol' - same ol'"..... I am going to send MK, via website, my idea for the next set list, if we all do this, maybe we can inspire him to the best set list ever this fall, it is worth a try, even if he receives only a few, we could do worse! This is what I am sending him, TONY BASSETTE, I think highly recommends this set list, although I would love to see others ideas of a set list - maybe I have forgotten a few.... We'll be in touch. Ambiguities are construed against the drafter. I'd fight for the trip. Note though that he never said he'd send you back... Of course, there is a chance that it is all a joke, in which case that hateful phrase from law school "no serious contractual purpose" also springs to mind. However, everyone here should know that you have no sense of humor, so that it is not likely a joke. I would suggest splitting the difference, but for the fact that would leave you with a one way trip half way to Cali, or, roughly, to the Western part of the Atlantic Ocean. --David-- -- _____________________________________________________________________ The Law Office of | WWW: http://www.Loundy.com/ | E-Mail: David @ Loundy.com David J. We'll be in touch. Now about that "ticket". The price was unfortunately advertised in error and I can't offer it any more. So sorry about that. Never mind the fact that I'm running this sordid operation from my government-owned computer. No need to get Loundy involved at this point. I'm sure we can make a second arrangement. It's only the natural thing. I'm sure you'll find the "mate" > part a small price to pay. Alex, you need to remember, I'll bend over backwards for a guy who likes a good, solid session with the Steely Dan. Rush just doesn't do it for me anymore. Why don't you try again tomorrow? >From one 'Gaucho' to another, your welcome here in Santa Barbara anytime AG. Just leave the elevator shoes at home. --- On another note, my lovely (and tolerant, I might add) wife has arranged for us to have the distinct pleasure of a London vacation, April 29 - May 3. My vote for Amsterdam and the red light distict was vetoed for some strange reason. Anyone with advice about how best to enjoy London, please email me. London's nice this year, they say. -------------------------------------------------------------- Matt Rice, Graduate Student Geography Department University of California, Santa Barbara -- home of the Gauchos rice @ geog.ucsb.edu http://www.geog.ucsb.edu/~rice --------------------------------------------------------------
