Is this correct Win ? - firm news or just a rumour ?
I certainly hope it's true - who knows maybe we might get some cleaned up
versions of FIRE and FREE YOUR SOUL....2 great Level 42 songs that just
should have been on the album in the first place.

This year. This is due to the ‘resurgence’ of the band on another label."

If this news is indeed true, I sincerely hope that they include the demos Free Your Soul and Fire on the Forever Now remaster edition. These are just too good not to be included. Interesting that they 'could' be 2 disc sets. I also hope that they include the K-Klass Vocal remix of All Over You on this as well as this wasn't available on CD as I must be the only one who actually likes it! I shall have to make a list of what I would like to see on each extra disc when I get home!

Glyn.

I agree that Turn it On is the best one.  It contains tracks you don't normally hear on compilations, and has material from the earlier period.  Whenever I am going on vacation and looking to take a Level 42 CD with me, that is the one I grab since it is a good sampling.  Either that or one of my own burned compilations...

Loz, you must be kidding! That Version of SITL is on the Pursuit/Standing
anthology! But I suppose that UP to 2001, that was the only place you could
get it.

Loz,

Why did the ‘full lyrics’ for the Standing In The Light track (which you quoted) not make it to the LP version? Surely it can’t be that an edit was made for timing purposes, as we’re only talking about a couple of lines. I always thought that it was odd that the full lyrics are printed on the LP’s inner sleeve, yet those two lines were edited from the actual version that appears on the record. Yet the ‘full’ version turns up on a low-budget minor-label compilation years later. Weird.

Anyone got any theories or definite info?

Cheers,

Anselm.
