AG, as for your inquiry toward YCB, while I am no
historian (or contemporian) on the group I can
certainly say their new music (albeit a work in
progress) is _no less_ interesting than, say, a band
currently drubbing about 10-20+ year old tunes with a
vapid guitarist (who’d rather be playing bass), a
saxophone player whose greatest musical attribute is
his "cute"ness and athletic prowess running about the
stage, a scarily pathetic keyboard player with a vocal
"skill" that may prove to have long-term impairing on
the fans (although he has great posture), and a bass
player/leader who can’t even brain-fart up a new solo
and has schizophrenic (well, maybe bipolar is more
correct) answers toward basic questions (hell, David
Lee Roth has more class).

While I understand some people have disdain for the
apparent (I wasn’t present) past over-exposure (within
the L42 community) of YCB, it’s not like the list has
1) much else to say
B) on-topic is in demand (and since Gary Husband will
be guest-ing on the new album, indeed it is on-topic)

3) that’s hardly a proper way to judge the music
D) we all know, and more than likely fewer fall victim
to it than AG and I (well, maybe ...alex...), to
scroll down
5) etc

As for #3, I am not saying AG’s opinion on their music
is based on solely posts, but I have seen some "true"
L42 fans state inane things like this…

Sooooooooooo, Ultimate-ness ends this weekend. And all
of about 20 (or so) posts were written having to do
with the tour; most outstanding: the best thing about
a Groupo42 gig is the people that you hangout
with...what a band!

I think we all desperately need a post by Travis...

Pass me the dog food,
j(ay)
