Hi Eric,

I don't think Nick is right about this website.  Yes it has been quiet for the last few days but as they say business does go up and down a bit.

Where I do agree with him tho is the 'blind hope' people have with regard to a new album and the original line up getting back together again.  As sure as night follows day neither of these things are going to happen.  I remember last year when the talk on this message board was exactly the same regarding new material etc.

I went to the show in Hannover Germany last year.  Yes it was a great set and it was great to hear the 'classics' one more time but after much soul searching I am not going this year.  I believe this is one tour too far.  Without new material they will just become another retro 80's band and for me that is too painful.  I have grown up with the band.  Their music through the years remind me of specific times and events in my life.  Time to draw a line?  The answer is a definite yes.  Without the Level 42 name they wouldn't even sell out at the local church hall.

Finally Eric, do you keep a record of all the submissions?  About 10 months ago I sent an e Mail ref the band members on the IOW before them forming the band.  If you still have it could you e Mail it to me? I've lost the piece of paper it was on when I moved house.

Regards as ever

Danny

"We" or the product (kinda) known as Level 42?
Hell, I'm doing ok (read as 'salty middle'); I'm not
the one soliciting my Ultimate gigs via letters to
fans (with astounding salesmanship of 'basically the
same bloody set list as last year') or repeating
anything I did 20 years ago (aside from breathing),
ignoring questions, trying to rectify the past to (as
most sources cite) see it crumble apart, going through
the motions, pissing off my drummer, or judging "ugly
tie" contests (is this the lowest ebb of 'where are
they now?')...although I do have this scathing
rash...(Friesen, I suggest you go to the doctor’s…)

Certainly _not_ a "die-hard", thank you.
scratch, scratch,
j(ay)
