Level 42 Digest for Sunday, November 23, 2003>
>So how is it that at the end of the show, Mark says that '88' is from their
forthcoming album on Elite Records? I thought they were out of the picture
by this point.
>

Looked like Elite were going to be releasing The Early Tapes as they noticed
L42 had such huge succes.
Elite made recordings of th eEarly tapes before L42 signed to Polydor, but
had the rights to th eallready recorded album
Now we are talking about the Infamous Strategy album,

When Polydor heared about that album, they went to Elite to buy the rights
to the complete album, so The Early Tapes were finaly released on Polydor,
but Mark didn't know that yet, as he couldn't look into the future

Well I can't answer any of your questions really. But it might be interesting to know that

"The platinum edition" was intended to have 6 remixes on it. I have a scan of an add to

prove this. The 6th remix would than of course be To be with you again - A.D.S.C. mix.

As I later found out Mark seems to really hate that remix but it was released on 12 inch

anyway. The letters A.D.S.C. seem to stand for A Different Song Completely.

I really can’t say if this is really true  or not, but it could very well be.

The CD was a very new thing back in 1987 when the CD was released and that could explain

the inclusion of the SAY an WM remixes those were the first time they were available on CD

so more people would go out and buy the album. Cause if those 2 weren’t included it

wouldn’t be much different from the original now would it?

Ronald
