While I am normally a lurker, I absolutely must come out of the shadows to
express my excitement over the news of the new album. I am one of those
fans who would be ecstatic if any two of the originals recorded together, but to
hear that all four plus Wally are planning an album is so unbelievable that I
checked my calendar to make sure this wasn't April 1st. I have
literally never been disappointed with a Level 42 album (or any of the solo
projects that I have heard, for that matter). I remember discovering
each older one (since I started with Running in the Family), and awaiting
each new one. They were all (and still are) treasures to me. I
have never been able to generate such excitement about any other group of
musicians, no that I haven't tried. With most, I eventually just find
a point where further digging into the back catalogue is simply no
longer rewarding (i.e. the Beach Boys). With a rare few, the entire
catalogue is great, but it is limited (i.e. Swing Out Sister, The Police).
Level 42 produced a tremendous catalogue that was great from top to
bottom. And now, a new album. I cannot wait.

as long as there isn't some fight or fall out THIS
will be awesome. I am sure it will be a new 'style' of material otherwise what
would be the point. This could be very cool.
what would everyone's guess be on videos? yes
/no?
The other band I wish would reunite is the Police
but Sting has some work to do on his ego first... | ||

| You fickle 42 purists better not get too excited. Its been a long time and people change. The new record may end up sounding like, "gasp!" Guaranteed, or worse. Of course I've been happy with most all of the records put out under the Level 42 name, so I know I'll be in heaven! Ta, Bob from VA, USA | ||
