Good that you made it Mikey! I saw the Groningen (NL)
gig, which was way above expectations: excellent
setlist (with a number of goldies), awesome crowd (but
it's no news for Groningen) and fantastic venue. Too
bad I didn't spot too many familiar faces (save for
Rob and Willem who never seem to miss a shot).

Did the guys eventually turn up at the back of the
Osterpoort? I got "tired of waiting" and indeed
Tuesday morning's wakeup at 6.15 didn't top my list of
life's most amazing experiences.

Cheers,

mac

PS: the other day I was thinking how a couple of live
performances have turned "Sunbed song" from my least
favourite to one of the songs I couldn't attend a gig
without. The power of Gary...

>Incidentally, a nod of appreciation to Pete Willis for a write-up of his gig
which eschewed the standard "the guys were great, atmosphere was great, set
list was great, what a great bunch of mad guys we all are too!" review and
went some way towards trying to explain WHY it was such an enjoyable night
for him.>

hey no problem, happy to help

cheers

Well, with AG's liner-note quality musings still fresh
on the brain, I feel motivated to get me some of that
Haircut 100. I assume some things are still in print,
on a moldy oldies backwater label (Resurgence,
perhaps?)

You left out anything in the "where are they now"
department. Have they disbanded? Did one of them die
of a smack OD in Boy George's apartment? I've seen
soooo much VH-1 it all sort of blends, you see.

If they are still extant, then they'd be in their
fifties, age-wise? Do they still have their hair? An
odd site to see balding men playing as Haircut 100. Is
their a Rogaine Remix?

Yes, I am being silly. AG, please treat us with how
they got their name - I don't remember anything in
Douglas Adams dealing with Haircut 100.

A very happy turkey holiday to you all, even in
England!

-Tom
